Cowardy Custard will be the Grimm's Autumn revue for 2005. First produced in 1972 at the Mermaid Theatre, this is a cavalcade of Coward songs with present laughter and some bittersweet flavours. Put together by Gerald Frow, Alan Strachan and Wendy Toye, the revue tells the story of Coward's life and features his famous and less well known songs: Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Stately Homes of England, London Pride, Mrs Worthington and many others. A link with last year's revue, is the featured song Let's Do It (Cole Porter's music) with wicked, wicked words by Noel Coward. Many of the medleys are fast and furious and will require some stamina from the small cast! All in all, a delicious confection of fun and flummery!
